“The difference tonight was the runs,” said head coach Aaron Woliczko.
Montana Tech stayed with Montana State for the ten minutes of the contest. The score was tied 18 a piece with 10:47 to go. The Bobcats ramped up their scoring on a couple eight point runs to take a 44-77 lead into the break.
The Bobcats used a pair of eight point runs in the first ten minutes of the second frame to keep the Orediggers at a distance and run away with the victory.
“They forced turnovers creating runs off the fast breaks and extending their lead. No team could keep up with scoring like that.”
Dan Simon led the Orediggers with 12 points and three rebounds.
