Box Score LEWISTON, Idaho — Montana Tech took Lewis-Clark State to overtime before the homestanding Warriors prevailed, 73-69, Thursday night in a Frontier Conference college men's basketball thriller.
“Our guys dis a great job trying to get fouled and do some things,” Montana Tech head coach Aaron Woliczsko said. “We were 20 for 24 at the free throw line, so I'm happy abour the way we attacked.
“The officials called a lot of fouls tonight — 25 against us and 21 against them. It was a physical game and they called it.”
Woliczko said the calls were fair, but left him with substitutiting problems as he carries only nine players.
He said Jeray Key of Lewis-Clark State was the difference in overtime as he “had some good rebounding putbacks. He did a good job holding our guys back and getting putbacks on the rim.”
P.J. Bolte led the Warriors with 17 points and Donte Archie scored 16.
A.J. Paine led the Orediggers with 14 points,
Brian Cummings scored 11 and

“We ran a new-styled offense and
Tanner Neumann got free at the basket, and had eight points by halftime,” Woliczko said. “He played well.
“
Brian Cummings was 5-for-5 from the free throw line in the second half by just attacking and getting calls. He played well. A.J. shot it well. We need output like that, what we got tonight.”
Montana Tech will play at Westminster in Salt
Lake City on Saturday
“We'll just keep fighting,” Woliczko said. “Obviously, this is one of the toughest conferences in the country and we realize that. We'll keep our heads up and fight back on Saturday.
