Lady Diggers Pummel Rocky

Billings, MT-- The Lady Diggers had just one of those nights when everything works out as they pummeled Rocky Mountain College 83-53 in Billings.

Tech was locked in a tight battle to start the contest and trailed 21-20 at the ten minute mark of the first half. Then the Diggers went on a monster run to finish the first half. The Lady Diggers went on a 22-3 run to finish the first half.

In the second half Montana was able to extend that 20 point first half lead another 10 points. The Lady Diggers finished the contest with all the starters out of the ballgame for the last five minutes but still won 83-53.

Sophia Baetz led the Lady Diggers on offense with 20 points off the bench. Baetz was 7-10 from the field and hit 4-5 from three point territory. She also added eight rebounds and two rebounds in the contest.

Mandy Machinal pitched in 16 points while Kelsey DeWit and Kabri Emerson each had 10.

The Lady Orediggers improve to 6-8 in the Frontier Conference and 10-11 overall. Montana Tech returns home next Thursday and Saturday to take on Western and Westminster. Both contest are scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
