Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho-Montana Tech (4-7) couldn't get the shots to fall against College of Idaho losing, 71-64.

The Lady Diggers shot just 35.5 percent from the floor, 25.0 percent from the free throw line, and 46.4 percent from the charity stripe in the loss.

Montana Tech trailed the entire contest but chipped away at the COI lead which reached 13 in the beginning of the third quarter. Montana Tech cut the Lady Yote lead down to five points, 61-51, with 7:20 left in the contest on a Callee Remsen free throw.

Montana Tech was outrebounded by College of Idaho 52-46.

Sammy McGree scored a team-high 18 points on 7-of-20 shooting while collecting eight rebounds. Senior Rachel Farris had a double-double in the contest with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Farris was an efficient 5-for-7 from the field. Kourtney Coverdell added 16 points on 4-of-11 shooting from downtown.

The Lady Orediggers start the Frontier Conference season in Helena this Thursday against No. 24 Carroll College. The game will tip-off at 5:30 PM in the Carroll PE Center.
