BUTTE, Mont. - The Montana Tech men's basketball team starts the second half of Frontier Conference play with two critical match ups against No. 20 UGF and MSU-Northern. Tech squares off against the Argos on Thursday then face the Lights on Saturday. Both contest tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
For the RecordThe Diggers dropped back-to-back games for the first time in two months. Tech fell at Westminster 69-64 then dropped an 86-78 decision at Montana Western. Senior
Antonio Snow led the way for the Diggers averaging 19 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest.Â

Scouting the ArgosThe no. 20 Great Falls enters Thursday's contest with a 16-5 overall and 5-2 Frontier record good for a tie for first place in the conference. UGF is coming off of a 60-58 defeat by the hands of MSU-Northern last week. T. J. Harris led the way with 17 points for UGF.

Last Time vs. Great FallsTech limited UGF to just 28.9 percent from the field on their way to a 75-66 victory in Great Falls on Jan. 10th. The Diggers shot 56.5 percent from the field and 13 of their 26 baskets were assisted.
Adam Greger led the way for Tech posting a game-high 18 points and six rebounds.

Scouting the LightsMSU-Northern are 14-9 and 3-4 in the Frontier. The Lights currently sit one game behind the Diggers in the Frontier standings. The Lights are coming off of a 60-58 victory over Great Falls last week. Corbin Pearson and Warren Edmondson paced the Lights with 14 points a piece.

Last Time vs. MSU-NorthernTech came out firing on their way to a 76-67 victory at Northern on Jan. 9th in the first game to start conference play. The victory marked the first time that Tech has won in Havre in over a decade and the first time Tech has defeated Northern since 2012.
Antonio Snow had 19 points while
Adam Greger had 18 and nine rebounds for the Diggers.

Diggers in the pollsFor the first time in over a decade, Tech has received votes in the NAIA Coaches Poll. The Diggers received 7 votes in the latest installment putting them just outside the top-25.

Home Sweet HomeThe Diggers are currently 9-2 (.818) at the HPER. Tech's last lost on Kelvin Sampson Court came against Rocky Mountain College on Jan. 22.
