Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech used a strong shooting night to down Nueta Hidatsa College 109-64 in their first game of the Payne West Montana Tech Tip Off Classic.

The Orediggers shot 51.3 percent from the floor and hit 12 threes en route to the convincing victory.

The Diggers were led offensively by John Chapman who scored a game-high 21 points on 6-of-8 shooting and was 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Jake Miles scored 17 points, and Chris O'Neill and Dylan Pannabecker each added 13 for the Diggers. Nick Fitts chipped in 12 points from off the bench.

Iman Chatman, Derrius Collins, and Pannabecker each pulled down seven rebounds for Montana Tech.

The Diggers led 51-28 at the halftime break and held NHSC to just 37 percent shooting.

Montana Tech faces Dickinson State tomorrow night in the night cap of the Payne West Montana Tech Tip Off Classic.
