WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech's Derrius Collins was selected by the Frontier Conference as the Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Collins is a 6-foot-4 forward from Missoula, Montana. Montana Tech won a pair of games last week defeating Montana Western 71-60 in Frontier Conference action and the University of Alberta-Augustana 117-48.
 
The sophomore had a hot hands in the two contests averaging 18.5 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. He was 15 of 16, 94 percent shooting, from the field and 5 of 6 from beyond the arc in the two games. Against Augustana, we was a perfect 11 for 11.
 
The Orediggers take a break and are back in action at the HPER Complex on December 18 when they host Salish Kootenai College.
