MISSOULA, Mont. – Montana Tech dropped an exhibition game to the University of Montana 81-49.
The Orediggers gave up most of the points under the basket and off of turnovers. The NCAA Division I Grizzlies used their size and speed to score 40-16 in the paint and 37 points off of 24 Tech turnovers. The Griz also led 44-21 on the boards.
Mollie Peoples led the Diggers with 11 points shooting 4 for 6 from the field and 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.
Freshman
Dani Urick had nine points going 5 for 5 from the free throw line and 2 for 5 from the field.
Kaylee Zard had a game-high eight rebounds while adding four points and three assists.
Katie Mayhue led the Griz with 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
The Orediggers return to action on December 29
th in Helena against Carroll College.
