Box Score BILLINGS, Mont. – The Oredigger men's basketball team rallied in the second half but came up short against Rocky Mountain 77-68.
After trailing 35-22 at halftime, Montana Tech powered back into the game pulling within five points with less than five minutes to play. Rocky survived the final minutes for the victory.
Tech shot just 29.6 percent from the field in the first half, but rebounded in the second hitting 60.9 percent of their shots.
Rocky out rebounded Tech 37-22.
Chris O'Neill led all scorers with 23 points hitting 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. O'Neill had 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Jake Miles dropped 17 points and 2 rebounds.
Taylor England added 11 off the bench.
Rocky had five in double figures led by Danny Betcher's 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Montana Tech is on the road again next week traveling to Montana Western.
