Scouting the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs (11-16, 4-12 Conf.) are sitting in sixth place in the Frontier Conference standings and have lost three straight games coming into the weekend. Western is led in scoring by James Jones (16.6 PPG) and Cedric Boone (13.9 PPG). The Bulldogs are 10th in the NAIA in Assist/Turnover Ratio (+1.3) and 24th in 3-Pt FG Made per Game (9.2). Western has lost to the Orediggers twice this season falling 63-58 in Dillon and 77-66 in Butte. The Bulldogs are coached by Mike Larsen (2nd season).
 
Scouting the Battlin' Bears
The Battlin' Bears of Rocky Mountain College (7-19, 1-15 Conf.) are sitting in seventh place in the Frontier Conference standings. The Battlin' Bears lone conference victory came in a 90-86 overtime game against MSU-Northern in December. Rocky is led in scoring by Grant Wallace (14.3 PPG), Darius Henderson (13.5 PPG), Clayton Ladine (12.7 PPG), and Sam Vining (11.0 PPG). The Battlin' Bears have lost both matchups with Montana Tech this season falling 80-72 in Billings and 81-53 in Butte. Rocky is coached by Hinsdale, Mont. native Bill Dreikosen (19th season). 

Huse Steps Up
Oredigger point guard Drew Huse has stepped up in a big way for Montana Tech over the last four games. The sophomore from Bozeman has scored in double figures in each of Montana Tech's last four games including a 17-point performance in the 74-66 win against No. 17 Carroll College.
 
Huge Victories
Montana Tech's victories over No. 17 Carroll College and No. 3 Lewis-Clark State College last week are the biggest for the program under coach Adam Hiatt. Montana Tech's win over L-C State snapped the Warriors 16-game win streak.
 
Frontier Photo Finish
Montana Tech is currently tied with MSU-Northern for fourth place in the Frontier Conference standings. Montana Tech plays Western and Rocky this week on the road while MSU-Northern travels to Carroll and Providence to finish the regular season. The top four finishers in the standings will host a home playoff game.
