AUSTIN, Texas – Montana Tech's Mesa Williams was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America NAIA Second Team announced today.
The NAIA All-America program is financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2019-20 NAIA Academic All-America teams program.
Williams is 5-10 a junior forward from White Sulphur Springs, Montana. Williams is a two-time second team all-conference selection. This past season, Williams averaged 15.2 points per game and finished fourth in the Frontier Conference in scoring. Williams shot 43.4% from the floor and 76.7% from the free throw line. Williams passed the 1,000 point mark this season.
Williams is majoring in Applied Health Science and carries a 3.99 grade point average. Williams is a two-time academic all-conference selection and a Daktronic-NAIA Scholar Athlete.
The 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's Basketball honorees have a 3.922 average GPA.
