Scouting the Saints
Carroll College is 7-5 overall and 4-4 in Frontier Conference play. The Saints are coming off a pair of wins over Western last weekend where Jovan Sljivancanin earned Frontier Conference Player of the Week honors after averaging 28.5 points and 12.5 rebounds. Sljivancanin leads the Saints averaging 17.8 PPG, while Shamrock Campbell is second in scoring at 15.1 PPG. The Diggers are 2-0 against the Saints winning 82-62 on Dec. 16 and 58-55 on Dec. 31.

A Long Time Coming
On Sunday afternoon Montana Tech beat MSU-Northern in Havre since the 2014-15 season. In dramatic fashion, the Diggers were fouled with less than a second left in overtime trailing 69-68 sending Cody Baumstarck to the free throw line. The big man from Worland, Wyoming knocked down both free throws to put the Diggers ahead by one. Baumstarck finished the game with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Winning Without an All-American
Montana Tech has posted an impressive 5-3 record in Frontier Conference play despite not having two-time All-American Taylor England. England was averaging 21.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game all while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor. Posts Cody Baumstarck (6.7 PPG, 8.5 RPG) and Bridger Larson (7.1 PPG, 4.8 RPG) have stepped up to fill in for England.

Strong Off the Bench
Markieth Brown Jr. came off the bench to score 18 points in Montana Tech's 71-69 win over MSU-Northern. Brown Jr. was 6-for-11 from the floor and 5-for-6 from the free throw line in 27 minutes of action. Brown is Montana Tech's third leading scorer averaging 8.7 points per game.

Leading Scorer in the League
Oredigger guard Sindou Diallo lead the Frontier Conference averaging 20.5 PPG. Diallo is shooting 47.7 percent from the field. Diallo's two 35 point games are the highest scoring games in the Frontier Conference this season. Diallo is just 220 points away from joining Tech's 1,000 point scoring list.
