Scouting the Northern Lights
The Northern Skylights travel to Butte after picking up a hard-fought victory over Montana Western on Valentine's Day. The Skylights split with the Diggers in Havre losing 62-58 on January 16 and winning 67-53 on January 17. The Skylights are led in scoring by Tiara Gilham (14.5 PPG), Peyton Kehr (11.2 PPG), and McKenzie Gunter (10.9 PPG). Northern averages 64.4 PPG and gives up 68.2 PPG defensively.

Playoff Picture
Montana Tech has the opportunity to decide their seed with the two games this weekend. If the Diggers sweep Northern they can host the Skylights the first round of the playoffs next Thursday at Kelvin Sampson Court.
 
Urick Leads the Way
Oredigger guard Dani Urick leads the team averaging 10.2 points per game. The junior guard also leads the team in steals (22) and minutes played with 517 total minutes logged in 16 games this season. Urick is shooting 36.5 percent from the floor and 82.3 percent from the free throw line.
 
Win Percentage
The Frontier Conference regular season championship is being determined by win percentage this season. Carroll College (11-1) has already claimed the regular season championship but Montana Western (12-6) could finish the schedule with more total conference wins than the conference champion. The two teams face off this weekend in Dillon.  
 
Senior Day
Montana Tech women's basketball will recognize seniors Hailey Crawford and Mesa Williams this weekend. Crawford, a Helena native, has played in 99 career games and scored 277 career points for the Orediggers. Crawford is set to graduate this spring with a degree in Business Management. Williams, a White Sulphur Springs native, has played in 104 career games and is 14^th all-time in program history with 1,179 career points. Williams is a two-time honorable mention All-American and is set to graduate this spring with a degree in Applied Health and Safety Science.
