Scouting the Battlin' Bears
The Battlin' Bears enter the weekend with a 2-4 Frontier Conference record and were the first team to knock off previously unbeaten Carroll College on January 8th in a 81-76 final. Rocky lost to Montana Tech 76-68 in Billings in December. The Diggers have won their last 10 games against Rocky.
 
The Battlin' Bears are led in scoring by Maxim Stephens (14.6 PPG) and Tayshawun Bradford (11.1 PPG). Rocky leads the league in rebounding and averages 75.7 PPG on offense.
 
Scouting the No. 6 Fighting Saints
The Fighting Saints of Carroll College are tied with Montana Tech atop the league standings at 5-1. The Saints picked up a pair of road victories over University of Providence and MSU-Northern last weekend. The Saints won a down-to-the-wire contest against Montana Tech in their last meeting on January 6th, 80-78.
 
Carroll is led in scoring and rebounding by Jovan Sljivancanin (19.4 PPG, 11.2 RPG) who averages a double-double for the Saints.
 
Long Ball Threat
Oredigger senior Derrius Collins is one of the best three points shooters in the Frontier Conference shooting the longball at a 46.6 percent clip. The senior is averaging 7.2 PPG and has knocked down a three in 14-of-18 games this season.
 
Efficient Post
Senior post Taylor England leads the Frontier Conference shooting the 66.7 percent from the floor. England is Montana Tech's second leading scorer averaging 12.1 PPG. England has hit double figures in all but four game this season and went 10-for-13 from the field over his last two games.
 
Ballanced Attack
The Orediggers are led in scoring by three players who average in double figures in Sindou Diallo (14.8 PPG), Caleb Bellach (14.6 PPG), and Taylor England (12.1 PPG). The Orediggers are second in the Frontier Conference averaging 77.9 PPG and shooting 46.6 percent from the field. 
 
Bake of the Bench
Oredigger Freshman Keeley Bake is averaging 7.0 PPG as one of the first subs off the bench. Bake went 4-for-6 for 10 points in Havre to help the Orediggers defeat the Lights.
