Scouting the Battlin' Bears
The Battlin' Bears enter the weekend with a 2-4 Frontier Conference record and were the first team to knock off previously unbeaten Carroll College on January 8th in a 81-76 final. Rocky lost to Montana Tech 76-68 in Billings in December. The Diggers have won their last 10 games against Rocky.
The Battlin' Bears are led in scoring by Maxim Stephens (14.6 PPG) and Tayshawun Bradford (11.1 PPG). Rocky leads the league in rebounding and averages 75.7 PPG on offense.
Scouting the No. 6 Fighting Saints
The Fighting Saints of Carroll College are tied with Montana Tech atop the league standings at 5-1. The Saints picked up a pair of road victories over University of Providence and MSU-Northern last weekend. The Saints won a down-to-the-wire contest against Montana Tech in their last meeting on January 6th, 80-78.
Carroll is led in scoring and rebounding by Jovan Sljivancanin (19.4 PPG, 11.2 RPG) who averages a double-double for the Saints.
