Men's Basketball Continues Top 15 Ranking

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the third NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll today. Montana Tech remains in the top 15 of the national poll dropping one spot to No. 13.
 
Frontier Conference action started since the last poll was released. The Orediggers (9-2, 1-1) opened the conference schedule with a 82-59 win over Rocky Mountain at home extending their home winning streak to 18 games dating back to November of 2021. Montana Western upset the Orediggers 67-64 in front of their home crowd proving it is still and tough game in the Straugh Gymnasium.
 
No. 23 Carroll College (7-2, 1-1) moved up one spot after going 3-1 since the last poll. The Saints opened the Frontier Conference schedule 1-1 downing the Bulldogs at home 76-65 before losing to MSU-Northern on the road 66-62. The Orediggers face off with the Saints when conference action resumes on January 9th on Kelvin Sampson Court.
 
Arizona Christian (9-1) moved back into the top spot receiving 17 of the 21 first place votes after falling to No. 3 in the last poll. Thomas More (Ky.) (9-1) dropped one place to No. 2 receiving four first place votes. The College of Idaho (8-1) moved into No. 3.
 
Montana Tech travels to New Mexico this week. The Orediggers play in Espanola against Northern New Mexico College (3-10) Saturday and finish at the University of the Southwest (6-3) on Monday.
 
The Orediggers next home game is against Canadian school St. Mary's College on December 29th.
