Scouting the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs held off a late Argo rally on Tuesday in the quarter final round of the Frontier Conference Tournament winning 68-62. The Bulldogs led by 20 points at halftime, but the Argos pulled within three points in the final two minutes.
 
Montana Western was third in the league in scoring this season averaging 74.4 points a game. The Bulldogs were last in rebounding averaging 31.3 per contest. Senior forward Jalen Hodges leads the team in scoring and is fifth in the conference averaging 15.9 points per game. Hodges also leads the team in rebounding averaging 5.3 boards a game. Max Clark is second on the team averaging 14 points and 5.2 rebounds a game.
 
Historic Season
The Orediggers earned their first regular season conference championship since 1993. Tech is going for their first Frontier Conference Tournament title since the 1998-99 season. This year is also the first time the Orediggers hit the 20 win mark since 1997-98.
 
Against Western
The Orediggers have only played Montana Western twice this season with one of the three potential meetings going to the Orediggers by forfeit. Tech opened the Frontier schedule against Western at home coming away with a 87-75 victory. The Orediggers had to come from behind in Dillon to defeat the Bulldogs 76-69 after trailing at halftime. Caleb Bellach averaged 18.5 points against the Bulldogs and Sindou Diallo averaged 16.5 in the two games.
 
Home Court Advantage

The Orediggers are now 10-1 this season on Kelvin Sampson Court and 6-0 in conference action after defeating Montana State Northern last Thursday 73-56. The average margin of victory at home is 12.6 points. Friday's game could be the last chance for a home game for the Orediggers this season with top-seeded Carroll College receiving the host duties by way of a tie breaker over the Orediggers.
 
Rebounding Keys
The Orediggers are 12-0 when they outrebound their opponents this season. Tech is 7-6 when being outrebounded by their opponent. The Orediggers rank third in the league averaging 34.1 boards a game. The Bulldogs are last in the league in rebounding averaging 31.3 boards a game. Both teams have outrebounded the other by a slim two rebound margin in both regular season meetings.
