EAGLE, Idaho – The Montana Tech golf teams battled cold and windy conditions at Branbury Course for the Frontier Conference Championship today. The Oredigger men are in second place and the women dropped into third after the second round.
"I thought we battled really well for about 15 holes, and then didn't finish very strong. It was a very difficult day out there and with the cold weather and the wind," said head coach
Sean Ryan.
After trailing by three strokes after the first round, the Oredigger men are now 19 strokes behind leader Rocky Mountain. The Battlin' Bears shot a +9 today while the Oredigger men finished with +25 for the round. Tech trails the Rocky by 19 strokes going into the final day.

"We've set ourselves back a bit today, but we aren't out of it. We just need to play smart golf, keep the ball in play, and grind everything out. I think this group really want to prove they can play better than how they finished today."
The third round is slated for a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start tomorrow.
