LAUREL, Mont.- The Montana Tech golf teams wrapped up their final round of the fall season today at the Rocky Mountain Invitational. The Orediggers played well against not only the other Frontier schools, but also against NCAA Division II, and junior colleges that were in attendance.
The Oredigger women finished in fourth overall, and third among NAIA schools. While the Montana Tech men finished 8
th overall, and fourth among the NAIA schools.
The women's tournament was won by Rocky's A team, with a 54-hole total of 949. MSU-Billings was second with a 955, Lewis Clark State third with a 964, and Montana Tech fourth with a 1008.
Oredigger
Emma Woods broke the top-10 individually finishing in a tie for 9
th, shooting 241 (+25) over 54 holes.
Franchi Ceartin tied for 18
th with a 255 (+39),
Kodie Hoagland fired a 257 (+41) to tie for 21
st.
The men's tournament was won by North Idaho with a 54-hole total of 856 (-8). Lewis Clark State was second and the highest NAIA school, with an 870 (+6) total. MSU B was third. Rocky's 'A' team took fourth overall with an 891 (+27), the Rocky 'B' took seventh at 921 (+57). Montana Tech's men finished with a 938 (+74) good for eighth place overall, and fourth amongst the NAIA Schools.
The Oredigger men were paced by
Tyler Avery shooting a 233 (+17) which finished him tied for 33
rd.
Joe McGreevey finished right behind in 35
th with a 234 (+18) and
Gabe Witham finished in a tie for 40
th with a 240 (+24).
