HELENA -- The Montana Tech men's golf team landed in a tie for the No. 3 spot in the Frontier Conference's preseason coaches' poll, the conference office announced Thursday.
The Orediggers collected 31 points and one first-place vote in the survey, tying with Dickinson State for the third spot in the rankings. Defending champion Rocky Mountain landed the other six top votes and 49 points, while Bellevue collected 42 points en route to second. Mayville State rounded out the top five with 26 points.

Carson Hupka, both of whom were second-teamers on the Frontier honor roll in the spring.
The Orediggers played to fifth place at the conference championship in April.
The 2026-27 season begins with the Labor Day Classic at Butte Country Club September 5-7 before the Orediggers head to Detroit Lakes, Minn. September 21-22 for the first of two fall Frontier Conference tournaments at the Mayville Fall Invite.
