Box Score BUTTE, Mont.- In front of the loudest crowd we have seen this season, the Orediggers rolled past the Clippers of Briercrest 68-24. The Friday matinee was the Orediggers 'Field Trip Day' with every 4

th grader in town, in attendance. And trust us, every one of those kids was very happy to be out of school.
Don't let the 68-24 final score tell the story, it wasn't a blowout from start to finish. The Clippers started strong, jumping out to a quick 6-1 lead before the Orediggers got their first field goal. Once the Orediggers broke into the scoring column, the dam broke. The Diggs led 16-11 after the first, with scoring from seven different players in the first 10 minutes.
The eleven points for the Clippers came on 5 field goals, and one free throw. The five field goals in the first would be the most they would score all game. The Digger 'D' would allow only three FG's in the second, one in the third, and two in the final frame.
The Oredigger press was stifling (much like the crowd noise). The Clippers gave up 40 turnovers on the day, the press responsible for a very high percentage of those.
The Orediggers blew the lead out to 16 at the half. Ally Clevery led at the break with eight points,
Kia Wasson right behind with seven, and a large handful of steals as well.
The Orediggers outscored the Clippers 21-2 in the third, and 14-4 in the fourth to hang the game in the win column.
Montana Tech had 10 players score in the game, led by
Ally Cleverly with 10,
Brooklynn Hankwitz finished with nine points, three rebounds and a block. In 18 minutes of play
Soda Rice tallied nine points, seven rebounds, and one steal.
The Clippers were led Brooklyn Martens with 10 points.
Montana Tech (5-2) will be back in action Saturday, as they host Grace College (Ind.) (4-6) Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 PM at the HPER.
