HELENA, Mont.- Day one of the Carroll College Invitational wrapped up on Monday with the Oredigger men in second place, and the women resting in third.

After 36 holes the Montana Tech men are -3 overall, and one of only two programs who are under par. Rocky Mountain College is -23 after 36, carding a -10 in round one followed by a -13 in round two.

The Orediggers were six under in the first round, followed by a solid +3 in round two.

Individually, sophomore Tyler Avery leads the way for the Orediggers at -2. Tyler is in a three-way tie for fourth after shooting an opening-round 69 (-3), followed by a 73 (+1) in round two.

Joe McGreevey and Carson Hupka sit in seventh, and eighth respectively. McGreevey is at one under par, and Hupka is at even par.
Joe Opitz is in 11^th  place at +2, and Landon Olson is in 14^th at +4 after 36 holes.
 
With 18 holes remaining the Oredigger women are in striking distance of the top spot, as they are five strokes back of Rocky for first, and one stroke behind Carroll College who is in second.

Montana Tech's Emma Woods, Sami Benson, and Kodie Hoagland are all tied for fifth place after round one, each carding a 77 (+5). Casha Corder shot a 79 to land in 14^th place, and Franchi Ceartin is in 16^th at +11 (83).

Rocky's Tyla Potgieter is tied with Providence's Laila Jalil at the top of the leaderboard at (+1).

Round 2 will tee off at 10am Tuesday morning.
