HELENA, Mont. -- The Frontier Conference bestowed Academic All-Conference honors on four Montana Tech women's cross country student-athletes, the league office and award sponsors Billings Clinic and Logan Health announced this week.
Graduate student
Alyssa Plant, junior
Alyssa Jany, and sophomores
Makenzie Sheils and
Peyton Walker earned the honor.
Student-athletes must be sophomores or above and maintain 3.25 cumulative grade-point average to be eligible. A total of 19 women from across the Frontier made the grade. Tech's four representative were the second most of any league school.
Montana Tech's women's cross country team checked in 24th in the latest NAIA national rankings.
The Oredigger women will race for the conference championship Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Billings. The 5k race at Amend Park is set for 1 p.m. with the men's 8k race to follow at 1:45.
