BOZEMAN, Mont.- The Oredigger Cross Country teams got their season underway in Bozeman at the Bobcat Twilight Meet. The women finished the 5k course in 5
th place, while the men finished in 6
th.
The womens event was won by the host Bobcats with 26 points, Boise State right behind in second with 29. Carroll College was the highest NAIA finisher as they scored 115 points to take fourth. The Orediggers put up 143 points for fifth.
Alyssa Plant paced the Orediggers, finishing in 26
th, followed by
Alyssa Jany in 35
th, and
Emily See in 37
th

Montana State also ran away the men's race, in a big way. The Bobcats finished 1-6 for 15 points. Montana finished second with 79 points, Boise State was third, Carroll College finished fourth, and the Oredigger men finished sixth.
The Orediggers were led by Benjamin Zerr, who finished the course in a time of 15:37.50, to cross in 22
nd place. Teammates,
Derek Schultz and
Bryon Fanning finished in 47
th and 52
nd respectively.
