RICHLAND, Wash. -- The Montana Tech men's golf team finished the Columbia Basin Invitational fourth in the eight-team field, shooting 31-over-par 316 Monday to wrap up the regular-season schedule.
Senior
Gabe Witham led the way for the Orediggers with a 3-over-par 75 Monday. He finished in a tie for eighth at 82-75—157 as the lone Tech player in the top 10.
Freshman
Carson Hupka (80) and sophomores
Joe McGreevey and
Tyler Avery (82) also contributed to Tech's Day 2 scoring.
Hupka and
Christian Lund totaled up in a tie for 12th at 158 for the tournament, while McGreevey (77-82—159, 16th) and Avery (79-82—161, t-17th) also logged top-20 finishes.
Landon Olson (81-84—165, t-25th),
Joe Opitz (84-85—169, t-28th), and
Colin Wade (89-84—173, 35th) also played for Tech in the 51-man field.
The Orediggers will now prepare for the postseason, which begins Monday at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz., the site of the 2025 Frontier Conference championship.
