KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Montana Tech women's basketball team held serve in the top 25 of the NAIA coaches' top 25 poll, the national office announced Wednesday.
The Orediggers checked in at No. 13, falling one spot from the highest ranking in program history achieved in the previous iteration of the poll.
Montana Tech went 2-1 since that time, improving to 16-2 on the season and 12-2 in the Frontier Conference. The Orediggers sit tied atop the conference standings. Tech earned road wins over Bellevue and Montana Western after falling to No. 7-ranked Dakota State, also on the road.
No. 23 Rocky Mountain joined Dakota State and Tech representing the Frontier Conference in the ballot. Carroll, MSU-Northern, and Providence also received votes.
Montana Tech has appeared in five straight polls after making its first-ever top-25 appearance November 12.
The next installment of the top 25 comes out February 11.
The Orediggers will hit the road again this weekend for games at Carroll and Rocky Mountain. Both games are set for a 5 p.m. start.
