BUTTE -- The Montana Tech women's basketball program will host its annual Elementary School Day on Wednesday, October 7, welcoming hundreds of local students to Valley Bank Arena for a fun morning of basketball and entertainment.

The Orediggers will play an intrasquad exhibition beginning at 10 a.m. as Montana Tech continues its tradition of bringing area elementary school students to campus for a special gameday experience featuring the defending Frontier Conference champions, coaches of Montana Tech's other nationally ranked athletics programs, everyone's favorite mascot -- Charlie Oredigger -- and a whole lot of fun.

The event will feature a morning of intrasquad basketball and entertaining activities for students in attendance, giving local youngsters an opportunity to experience Montana Tech athletics and cheer on the Orediggers. Students in attendance will receive popcorn and a bottle of water free of charge.

Admission is free for all spectators.
