KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Frontier Conference champion Montana Tech women's basketball team will be a No. 5 seed in the NAIA national tournament.

The Orediggers, fresh off the program's first conference tournament title since 1983, will head to Lewiston, Idaho for the first and second rounds of national-tournament play next weekend. Montana Tech will play 12th-seeded Nelson (Texas) Friday, March 13 at Lewis-Clark State College's P1FCU Activity Center at a time to be determined.

Host LC State is the No. 4 seed in the pod and will play host to No. 13-seeded Hope International in the other first-round matchup. The winners will play Saturday, March 14 with a trip to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa on the line.

Montana Tech (25-4) heads into the NAIA postseason for the second-consecutive year and just the third time in program history. The Orediggers will be in search of their first-ever NAIA tournament win.
