Box Score GREAT FALLS- Montana Tech lost a close one to University of Providence in the McLaughlin Center Friday night, 70-62.

The Diggers finished the game shooting 52 percent from the floor but struggled from the foul line going 7-for-13 from the stripe. 

Point guard Chris O'Neill led the Digger offense with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting. John Chapman scored nine and Carson Dummer added eight for the Diggers. 

Montana Tech scored 30 points in the paint but turned the ball over 14 times in the loss. 

The Diggers fall to 1-6 in Frontier games and 9-9 overall. 

Montana Tech finishes their road trip in Havre on Saturday when they take on the Northern Lights at 8 p.m. in the Armory Gymnasium.
