WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech's Mollie Peoples was named the Frontier Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Peoples, a 5-foot-8 senior from Butte, Montana helped lead the women's team to a season opening victory over Montana Western 69-57 Saturday. Although the Oredigger fell to the Bulldogs 82-67 on Sunday, Peoples had a career day. Peoples finished with a career high 26 points and a career high 8 three pointers.
For the weekend, Peoples averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2 steals. She shot 14 of 23 from the field including 13 of 21 from beyond the arc.
Montana Tech returns to action Thursday when they host Carroll College.
