Scouting the Skylights
The Skylights of MSU-Northern (15-9, 4-8 Conf.) travels to the Mining City having lost their last five games including a 62-55 loss to Montana Tech in Havre on February 1st. The Skylights are led in scoring by Peyton Kehr (10.5 PPG) and in every other category by Hailey Nicholson (7.9 RPG, 2.8 APG, 1.3 SPG, 2.1 BPG). The Skylights are fourth in the NAIA in Scoring Defense per Game (53.8 PPG) and 3-Pt FG Percent Defense (25.5%). MSU-Northern is coached by Chris Mouat (15th season).
 
Scouting the (RV) Argos
The Argos of the University of Providence (14-10, 5-7 Conf.) enter the weekend coming off a 84-67 victory over No. 19 Montana Western. The Argos are led in scoring by Parker Esary who averages 15.2 PPG and is shooting 66.2% from the floor. Also factoring into the scoring column for Providence are Emily Maldonado (13.8 PPG), Bailey Cartwright (13.5 PPG), and Jenna Randich (10.7 PPG). Providence, who is coached by Bill Himmelberg (10th season), leads the Frontier Conference in scoring averaging 76.2 PPG on offense, but also allows the most points per game on defense averaging 64.0 PPG.

1,000 Point Watch
Montana Tech junior Mesa Williams is closing in on 1,000 career points as an Oredigger. Williams has scored 962 points for Montana Tech in 83 career games. The White Sulphur Springs native is averaging a Frontier Conference leading 16.4 PPG while shooting 45.1% from the floor. Williams is looking to be the 18th member of Montana Tech Women's Basketball's 1,000 point club and the first since Kelsey DeWit hit the mark in 2014.
 
Rebounding Marks
Montana Tech freshman Tavia Rooney has collected 257 rebounds in 24 games for the Orediggers. Rooney is 35 rebounds away from tying Connie Froke's single season rebounding record set in 1982. The Townsend, Mont. native is leading the Frontier Conference averaging 10.7 rebounds per game.
 
Home Again Home Again 
Montana Tech returns to Kelvin Sampson Court for a four game home stand after playing their last four Frontier Conference contests on the road. The Diggers traveled to Great Falls, Havre, Helena, and Lewiston, Idaho over the last two weeks.

Defense is key
