Scouting the No. 16 Saints
The Saints of Carroll College (17-9, 9-5 Conf.) are a game back of Montana Western who has the top spot in the Frontier Conference. Carroll lost on a buzzer-beater to No. 19 Montana Western on Saturday, 58-56, after defeating  No. 24 Rocky in overtime in Helena, 71-68. Carroll College ranks 10th in the NAIA in Scoring Defense per Game (57.2 PPG). The Fighting Saints are led in scoring by Danielle Wagner (13.4 PPG) and Christine Denny (12.2 PPG). Carroll is coached by Absarokee, Mont. native Rachelle Sayers (9th season) who played collegiately at Weber State from 1993-96.
 
Scouting the No. 21 Warriors
Lewis-Clark State College (17-7, 9-5 Conf.) is a game back of Montana Western for the top spot in the Frontier Conference. The Warriors are coming off a home split last week losing to University of Providence 73-65 and defeating MSU-Northern 69-47. Lewis-Clark State is led in scoring by Kiara Burlage (15.1 PPG) and Jamie Nielson (11.6 PPG). The Warriors are coached by Livingston, Mont. native Brian Orr (19th season). Lewis-Clark State has split with Montana Tech this season losing 83-59 in Butte and winning 76-62 in Lewiston.

1000 Point Watch
Montana Tech junior Mesa Williams is closing in on 1,000 career points as an Oredigger. Williams has scored 985 points for Montana Tech in 85 career games. The White Sulphur Springs native is second in the Frontier Conference averaging 16.1 PPG while shooting 45.1% from the floor. Williams is looking to be the 18th member of Montana Tech Women's Basketball's 1,000 point club and the first since Kelsey DeWit hit the mark in 2014.
 
Rebounding Marks
Montana Tech freshman Tavia Rooney is 17 rebounds away from tying Connie Froke's single season rebounding record (292) set in 1982. Rooney, a freshman from Townsend, Mont., is leading the Frontier Conference averaging 10.6 RPG. Rooney has 27 more rebounds than the next closest Frontier Conference player.
 
What A Weekend
Montana Tech is coming off of back-to-back victories this past weekend. The Orediggers defeated MSU-Northern 63-55 on Thursday and (RV) Providence 89-77 on Saturday.

Sophomore Dani Urick scored a season-high 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting in Montana Tech's victory over Providence.
