Scouting the No. 17 Saints
The Fighting Saints of Carroll College (14-8, 6-4 Conf.) dropped back-to-back games over the weekend to Rocky and Montana Western. The Saints have lost three of their last four games. Carroll College is led in scoring by Danny Wagner (14.1 PPG) and in rebounding by Christine Denny (6.4 RPG). The Saints are fifth in the Frontier Conference averaging 67.0 points per game while the Orediggers are third averaging 70.0 PPG. Carroll defeated Montana Tech 78-51 in Helena to open up the Frontier Conference season.

Scouting the No. 21 Warriors
The Lewis-Clark State Warriors (15-5, 7-3) are the winners of six games in a row and are second in the Frontier Conference averaging 71.0 points per game. The Warriors are third in the NAIA in Free Throw Percentage (78.3%) and are led in scoring and rebounding by Kiara Burlage (14.5 PPG, 7.3 RPG). Lewis-Clark State lost to Montana Tech 83-59 on December 7th in Butte. The Orediggers led 41-31 at the half and held Lewis-Clark State to just 27.6% shooting from the floor and just 3-for-25 (12.0%) shooting from three.

An Upset in Havre
The Orediggers snapped their eight game losing streak on Saturday night defeating No. 18 MSU-Northern 62-55. Montana Tech rallied back from a 34-18 halftime deficit and outscored the Skylights 44-21 in the second half. The Orediggers trailed by as many as 20 points near the end of the second quarter before they shot 18-for-28 from the field in the second half.

Peoples Off The Bench
Mollie Peoples is flourishing in the 6th-man role once again for Montana Tech. Peoples, a junior from Butte, was named the Frontier Conference 6th Player of the Year as a sophomore. Peoples is at it once again coming off the bench averaging 10.9 PPG while shooting 39% from the floor, 38% from three, and 81% from the free throw line.

Tavia Rooney is just 53 rebounds shy of tying Connie Froke's single season record (292) for rebounding set in 1982. Rooney's 239 rebounds already rank her fifth on the list. She trails Froke (292), Taesha Higbee (278), and
Kaylee Zard (240) on the list.
