KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Montana Tech women's cross country team retained its No. 22 ranking in NAIA's coaches' top 25 poll, the national office announced Thursday.

Tech also remains the only Frontier Conference team in the ballot. It's the fifth-consecutive top-25 ranking for the Orediggers, dating back to last season.

Montana Tech's team ran well in its first two showings of 2025, finishing fourth in meets at Bozeman and Missoula comprised of primarily NCAA Division I competition.

Dakota State and Carroll received votes in Thursday's poll.

A panel of 18 coaches representing each of the NAIA's conferences votes in the periodic ballot. Teams' highest and lowest ratings are removed from their rankings calculations.

The Oredigger women will head to Lewiston, Idaho Friday, October 11 for the Inland Empire Challenge.
