CLARKSTON, Wash. -- Emma Woods and Kodie Hoagland both shot 79s to lead the way for the Montana Tech women's golf team in their spring debut Monday.
The Orediggers sit in third, just a shot out of second midway through the Warrior Spring Classic, hosted by Lewis-Clark State at Red Wolf Golf Club.
Hoagland scored three birdies on the par-72, 5,802-yard course at Red Wolf, while Woods added two of her own. The pair are tied for sixth in the individual standings.
Keni Wade followed with an 11-over-par 83 to put her in a tie for 12th, and Casha Corder and Hayden Pride each shot 16-over-88. They're in a tie for 17th.
Montana Tech's women, with their team score of 41-over-par 329, trail second-place College of Idaho by a stroke. LC State leads the tournament at 18-over 306.
The Orediggers will finish the tournament with another trek around Red Wolf starting Tuesday morning.
