HELENA -- The Frontier Conference named four Montana Tech women's golfers to its all-conference honor roll, the league announced Wednesday.
Emma Woods earned a first-team spot,
Casha Corder and
Kodie Hoagland both garnered second-team honors, and
Keni Wade landed an honorable mention.
All-conference accolades were determined by players' scoring averages from the two regular-season Frontier Conference tournaments plus the three rounds at last week's conference championship, held at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, Ariz. The top six averages from those seven rounds landed first-team accolades, the next six were named to the second team, and the following six earned honorable mentions.
It was the most all-conference honors for the program since the 2021-22 season, when four Orediggers also made the list.
Woods, a senior from Fairfield, ranked third in the conference with her 78.43 scoring average, which included a program record for low single round with her 3-under-par 68 at the Dickinson State Invitational in September. Woods finished tied for third in Dickinson, fourth at the Beartooth Invitational in Laurel, and third at last week's championship. The all-conference honor is the second of her career; she was a first-teamer and the league's freshman of the year in 2022-23.
Hoagland, a senior from Butte, earned second-team honors with her 81.43 scoring average. She was tied for third at the Dickinson State Invitational, 14th in Laurel, and tied for 11th at the Frontier Championship. That total included one round under par, a 1-under 71 in Round 1 at Dickinson. It was also the second-career conference award for Hoagland, who was a second-teamer in 2022-23.
Corder, a sophomore from Fort Benton, took fifth at Dickinson, fifth at Laurel, and tied for 17th at Papago to finish her season with a 82.0 scoring average and a second-team nod. Her low round also came in Round 1 at the DSU Invitational, an even-par 72.
Wade, a freshman from Bigfork, earned her honorable mention with an 84.0 scoring average. She took 15th at the Dickinson State Invitational, 14th at the Beartooth, and 16th at conference championships. Wade's conference-low round of 79 also came at Dickinson.
