HELENA -- Kodie Hoagland led the way for the Montana Tech women's golf team last week, playing to a seventh-place finish at the Warrior Spring Classic in Clarkston, Wash.
Tuesday, that effort earned the senior the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference women's golfer of the week award.
Hoagland shot 19-over-par 163 over two rounds at the par-72 Red Wolf Golf Club, shooting 79 in Monday's opening round before carding 84 Tuesday in Round 2. She had three birdies and led the Orediggers to a third-place team finish.
The senior from Butte ranks second on the Orediggers so far this season with an adjusted scoring average of 80.4. She has three top-10 finishes in Montana Tech's four tournaments this season, including a victory at the Providence Invitational in September.
The weekly award is the second of the year for Hoagland, and she becomes the first-ever Oredigger women's golfer to win multiple conference golfer of the week awards in her career.
Hoagland and the Orediggers will have a final tune-up ahead of the postseason next week at the Columbia Basin Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland, Wash.
