CLARKSTON, Wash. -- Senior
Trey Mattson put a strong finish on the Warrior Spring Classic, carding a 2-over-par 74 Tuesday to lead the way for the Montana Tech men's golf team at Red Wolf Golf Club.
Mattson led the way for the Orediggers with a three-round total of 7-over-par 223, finishing in a tie for 17th. Montana Tech finished seventh as a team.
Junior
Joe McGreevey also jumped into the top 20 for the Diggers. He carded a 75 on the final round to finish in a tie for 20th at 8-over 224.
Sophomore
Colin Wade (75-77-76—228) came in tied for 30th, sophomore
Carson Hupka (82-80-76—238) took 42nd, and sophomore
Landon Olson (88-80-81—249) finished 45th to round out the Orediggers' scoring roster. Playing as an individual, freshman
Brenner Booth finished off his tournament with an 80, placing 41st at 237 strokes.
Montana Tech finished with a three-round team score of 49-over 913. Host Lewis-Clark State won the tournament with a team total of 844; the Warriors' Kye Krall was medalist at 10-under 206.
The Orediggers will begin preparation for the Frontier Conference championship, scheduled for April 28-29 at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz.
