CLARKSTON, Wash. – The Montana Tech men sit in fourth place and the women in fifth at the Warrior Spring Invite hosted by Lewis-Clark State College at the Clarkston Golf and Country Club.
The conditions were harsh for the first tournament of the spring with high winds and the high for the day hitting 45 degrees.
Northwest Nazarene leads the men's field with an opening round 314. The Orediggers are tied with the College of Idaho 12 strokes behind at 326.
Jace Rhodes shot an 78 to open the tournament and is T6.
Brady Cady shot an 80 and is in T10.
Isaiah Weldon shot an 82,
Trey Hoagland hit an 86, and
Sean Ramsbacher finished with an 88.
Northwest Nazarene also leads the women's field finishing with a team score of 325. The Orediggers shot an opening 374.
Emily Kelly leads the Montana Tech women after shooting an opening round 90 and tied in 21
st place.
Emily Garden is in 28
th hitting a 94 and
Tanna Campbell and Skylar Martin are tied in 29
th finishing with a score of 95.
Both teams play their final round tomorrow.
