WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech head golf coach
Sean Ryan was named the Frontier Conference Golf Coach of the Year and
Jace Rhodes was named the Freshman of the Year today. The Orediggers also placed five men and three women on the Frontier All-Conference teams.
The all-conference team is determined by the results of the league's regular season conference tournaments completed in the fall. The top five golfers receive first team honors and second five receive second team honors.
The Montana Tech men's team won the regular season championship for the first time.
Trey Hoagland,
Sean Ramsbacher, and
Isaiah Weldon earned first team honors.
Brady Cady and
Jace Rhodes were selected to the second team.
The Oredigger men's golf team won all three regular season tournaments last fall.
Tanna Campbell was named to the first team for the women.
Skyler Martin and
Reyla Williams were named to the second team.
Montana Tech travels to Eagle, Idaho near Boise this weekend for the Frontier Conference Championship. Both teams tee off at Banbury Golf Course for the three-day event. The teams will play 18 holes each day.
